Change Now

Sometime last week, before I went to the Sister’s Outdoor Quilt show I ran into several different posts, with slightly different takes about what we can do to change the world.  I ponder on this on a regular basis — shockingly I don’t make big progress.

I had intended to think about the subject and write some kind of post on my bus ride to and fro from Sisters. I failed miserably. I am still thinking. I feel reasonably sure that although neither my power usage nor my conspicuous consumption can have much of a world impact, changing my usage is vital to the big picture. Clearly we also need to demand political changes. (Given the current state of the world expecting much change seems overly optimistic.)

So anyhow I am going to start with me and yes I will simultaneously work to effect political change. I do not have much money so there is not too much space for reductions, but… Using less will cost less.

Tomorrow I walk to the library to return books and to borrow new.

Any ideas for other changes?
